No trials, no pressure, and no need to be good at football.
A weekly session for adult women of any age and any ability, including women who have never played. Thursday evenings at St Edward's, then tea, coffee and a chat afterwards.

Who it is for
Anyone who has never played and fancies a go. Anyone who played years ago and would like to again. Anyone who wants to get a bit fitter in better company than a gym. And anyone who mostly wants an hour out of the house and a cup of tea with other people afterwards, which is a perfectly good reason and one several people have already given.
It is deliberately not the Ladies team, which plays competitively on Sundays. Nobody here is being assessed, and there is no ladder to climb unless you want one.
If you help with a children's team
A lot of the women around this club do an enormous amount of organising and have never thought of themselves as someone who could coach. If that is you, come along and have a kickabout, ask questions and see where it goes. No football and no coaching experience is needed, and there is no expectation attached to turning up.
What to bring
- Trainers you can run in. Boots if you have them, but they are not needed
- Something comfortable to move in
- A water bottle
Coming along
You do not need to book. Turn up on a Thursday at 6.30 and Michelle Keeler will find you. If you would rather ask something first, email enquiries@summertownstars.org and it will get to her.
If turning up on your own to a thing full of strangers is the bit putting you off, say so in that email. You will not be the first and Michelle will look out for you.
